The House of Refuge in Stuart is one of my overall favorite places for family, maternity, and couples photoshoots. It has everything. On the one side, it has dramatic rocks, a lovely ocean, and an old rustic museum as background. The other side has a river, pier, and mangroves and a perfect place to see sunsets. This location was a perfect spot for a lovely couple who loves water & adventure!
I spent the afternoon with Cydney + Kino. While they were soaking up the last rays on the Florida East Coast, I captured these amazing moments. This sweet couple did get wet during their session! Interacting naturally with the surrounding nature can take a photo from “good” to “WOW!” This couple was not afraid to play in the waves, sink their toes into the sand, and be fully present at the moment. I always encourage my couples to be willing to let things get a bit messy if we’re photographing on the beach. It’s always worth it in the end!
